"न किञ्चित् शाश्वतम्।"
Everything must end.

Ranisaheb Tarini Bai Gaikwad of Nagpur knew that everything must end. Afterall, her näivet erased with time, her childhood died within when the weight of a dagger fell in her hands.

Tarini pushed away her bitterness to fight. That was what she did as Ranisaheb Tarini Bai Gaikwad. She fought as a warrior and wished to wash away presence of unwelcomed guests from her Motherland.

Serving Swarajya was her life's goal and Tarini would do anything to fulfill as the trusted Chief of the great Chhatrapati.

But, when the only way in the grand chess of pushing away the Mughal invaders from her country is marrying a man who harboures hate for her just as she despises him, the Mughals might not be her only foes.

=================================

"सारज्ञः भव।"
Be realistic.

Shrimant Sardar Ekansh Holkar of Kashi knew it by heart to always be realistic. When dices of Snakes and Miracles became lessons on how life could topple over, a child had wished for a childhood and gotten reality in return.

Ekansh pushed away his tenderness to rule his state with the security never seen before and a sword ready to drink blood of whoever dared to defile his Motherland. That was what he did as Shrimant Sardar Ekansh Holkar.

Swarajya, was his life's goal. The life goal of a puppet was freedom, if not for himself then his Motherland. As a Rastrasevak, he would do all it to free his land from the Mughal invasions.

However, in politics, one must sacrifice something to win over something much useful, to destroy something much powerful.

If that sacrifice is marrying a woman who has blood in the lines of her dagger holding hands, Ekansh would still do that for his country.

Bride of Sultan ~ The Forgotten Rose by magicallovely

This was my first time. I patiently waited for the man Dua Begum told me would be my first to bed with. After starting to bleed two years ago, my stepmother left me at a pleasure house when my father abandoned us. Since then, I've accepted the pleasure house as my new home. He walked in a black Kurta with subtle green eyes and a deep voice. The moment he asked my name and age and then proposed to me for the wedding, I fell in love. There was no denying it. I was just fifteen, and he was nineteen. But, ever since the night of our wedding, he has not come back to take me with him to his home. He left me alone, stranded, burning for him. I did not know who he was. What did he do? All I knew was that he was the soul of my World. My Jaan-e-Jahan. Seven years later, he came back as a storm in my life. As Sultan Rehman Sulaiman. The son of the man who took everything from my family, even before my birth. The reason I ended up in the Pleasure House in the first place. But my love for my husband, the Sultan, is bigger than the mountains, deeper than the oceans, and wider than the skies, even though he is himself a Mountain, impossible to move, an ocean, scaring people to stay away, and a wide sky, impossible to reach. Discipline is everything for him. He is full of love and respect for his family but equally heartless and dangerous toward those who cross him. And, in all of this, I entered his life as a burning flame, a tiny candle's flame, dancing for his attention, crying for his affection, and dying for his love. Until he killed my only loved one. My love died. And, his never bloomed. I was once a bud, unbloomed Rose, who opened my deep red petals for him, and he turned them black, leaving me forgotten inside the dying pages. Was I always forgotten for him? Did he never consider me anything more than a mere responsibility? Will I always be remembered as Bride of Sultan ~ The Forgotten Rose? Soulbound in Rajgarh: a tale of a Indian princess' s Ghost

42 parts Complete

The night of her wedding, Princess Meera Shree Rajput stood adorned in red and gold, her heart pounding with an inexplicable dread. She turned, hearing footsteps, and saw him-her groom, his face hidden behind a dark mask, his hand gripping a gleaming sword. Before she could react, he struck. Pain tore through her chest, and as her life faded, she glimpsed his retreating form, leaving her to the silence. When she opened her eyes again, she was no longer alive. She stood, watching her lifeless body, trapped within the palace walls, an invisible spirit, unheard and unseen. Centuries drifted by, and she watched the world change from her prison, yearning for release, but bound to the place of her death. One night, as she looked up at the moon, her silent prayers for freedom met the sudden sound of a car's approach. She turned to see a man stepping out-a powerful, intense figure, his dark eyes piercing through the shadows. Her endless solitude shattered, as his presence stirred something deep within her, something long forgotten.
