One night to party, one last time.

Serin Davies is close to the end of long road of college classes. As a last hurrah to her studious life she decides to join a friend at a party. Having lamented her life of studying and nothing else. She wishes for a night to let loose and maybe turn back the clock.
Be careful what you wish for.

Waking up on top of a slab, isn't exactly the way Serin wanted to end her college years. She also wasn't expecting to be adopted into a coven of vampires not known for their southern hospitality. Stuck realizing that she will never see her family again, and having to repeat her life of college. She had no intention of getting involved in a romantic tryst with anyone.

Enters Ryan Mctavish a 2nd year college student, who seems a little to eager to make Serin a friend.

When it rains, it pours.

I jerked my hand back, and faced Gaius. He looked at
me with concern, "Are you okay?"

My eyes were dry, maybe I'd cried enough for the last
twenty-four hours. I nodded, saying quietly, "I'm fine. Just thinking about my new life."

He nodded, I noticed his glance to the phone, before he turned his steady eyes back to me. "This...change isn't going to be easy, and your longing for your family is normal. I won't tell you not to call them, even if it's just to hear one of their voices. Still, Serin love, you're
them at least. I believe it would only hurt you more, than it would sooth you, okay?"

This will be an interesting read already. Plus I LOVE interracial couples in books. I wrote some to myself ;-)
                               I shall continue!!

I like how you link the mirror to a memory that the main character obviously holds dear. Knowing that happy memory has been altered somewhere along the road, intrigues me.
Why should a woman be upset on her wedding day?
