Angelique Rose Evans DiLaurentis Angelique is a member of one of the most powerful monarchies in the supernatural world: the DiLaurentis royal family, who has ruled for centuries with Phoenixes by their side. They lived in a large kingdom hidden away, deep in the woods, away from unwanted creatures and humans. Most of her kind grew their wings between the ages of two and fifteen. However, Angelique never grew hers. Now at 17 years old, she continues being shunned by her own kind, especially from both her family and friends. She watches sadly as the rest take flight and leave while Angelique is left on the ground, with no one but a little bit of her sanity attached. That was until something dark and evil attacked her home, destroying everything and everyone around it. And somehow in between all the chaos, only Angelique and her three-year-old brother, Luca, survived - ending many future generations of Phoenixes. In fear of getting tracked down and killed, Angelique takes her brother to a small town called Mystic Falls to seek help from an old friend.

❝Why do you insist on protecting the sacrificial lamb?❞ . . . 'The cruel reality set in far too late. There was no darkness in her too much, no monster or fate that could keep them apart. Everything she knows, everything she is, and everything they are to become - she would die for her lamb. And she would kill for her wolf. And if the fates did take her away, the world would not survive.' ...
