Elsie Dahl is the opposite of her family. She's too serious, too uptight and a little too boring. While they're busy being free spirits, she knows she has to pick up the slack and run the family's talent agency, Dahl's Management. Her hectic job leaves her no time to have a personal life. Not that it's stopped her from falling helplessly in love with her client and best friend, the successful and highly sought after actress Sabrina Wales who has never noticed anything. While everyone sees it, Sabrina is the only one who doesn't.

Ainslie Spencer didn't come from money but she worked her way up at The Daniker Group talent agency and has made a name for herself. She's so involved in that world that she even dated an up and coming actress, Mallory Wright, who dropped her the moment she became an A lister.

Ainslie and Elsie are rivals by trade, polite enemies at the best of times, and never too afraid to challenge each other.

When their respective love interests become romantically involved, the two women decide to pretend to date just to make them jealous and get their attention.
