Castiel, king of a small, but wealthy country, is on a tour around the US when he stops and visits a bar in Lawrence, Kansas. He goes in pretending not to be the monarch he is, on what is supposed to be his last week in the country.
He meets a bartender named Dean who shows quite the interest in him. Castiel gets to know Dean for a few days. He stays in a hotel near the bar. On his last night he invites Dean back to his hotel room. They awake the next morning to discover the paparazzi waiting for the King.
Because of his status he has to avoid scandal like this, he could get overthrown! He tells the reporters that confront him that Dean is his fiancé. He promises Dean that he will share the throne and be rewarded for his help.
But what happens when Dean isn't really much more than a hustling bartender, scamming his way through life. Will he ruin the monarchy (getting Cas overthrown), or will he make a suitable Prince Consort to King Castiel.
A case of royalty gone wrong...
