A young recluse named Caedmon lives deep within the woods of his home-kingdom, Scathliath, alongside his lupin companion. When a rival kingdom strikes, their prince making the rash decision to kidnap the Scathlian royals, he is forced out of peaceful solitude. Thrust into the limelight once again, Caedmon and the folk of his world are thrown into greater danger than they could ever have imagined as secrets of his past and lineage are unveiled. Along the way, he acquires the companionship and aid of Lazuli, a lost human, and Agaveah, a warrior nymph of old. The trio face all manner of foe, as well as the judgments of the gods, in a naïve attempt to piece together the fragments of Caedmon's life; past and future.

There, they will have to find the Light to dispel the growing Darkness within. Whether they can save the world depends on whether they can survive themselves. Mature rating for blood, gore and depictions of violence. TW: mentions of drunkards and beer, mention of physical abuses, a description of trypophobia, claustrophobia, and other phobias, and descriptions of nasty cryptids. There is no depictions or allusions of sex, no f-bombs, or drug abuse. This story was started when I was in seventh grade. I finished the original when I was a senior in high school. Displeased with the finished product, I began to rewrite it here, starting June 2015, then again in 2020. I am quite satisfied with the result, and am sure this will be the final edition. This isn't the first book of the series, but there's no spoilers for 'The World is Larger than it Seems', so you can start on this one. The story is far from finished, however, and I hope to eventually finish the series.
