The Blind Concubine is living in his pitch black world, all alone in a house on an island in the middle of a lotus lake. He thinks that he had long gotten freed from the palace where he had suffered so much, the imperial palace. Little does he know that the Emperor is still watching over him from afar.
The Emperor cannot bear to let go of the Blind Concubine and he had decided to keep him close. His past actions had earned him only resentment and hatred which he can fully understand. He had after all been the cause of his beloved's blindness. He had failed to win his heart once, but when the Blind Concubine falls ill, the Emperor does not hesitate to go tend to him despite the possibility that it can ruin their relationship for good.

 (It is not necessary to have read The Blind Concubine novel to understand this story. I have included all important elements inside. However, if you want to, it is a great romance that I can recommend.)
