Lillian Gold, daughter of the Mafia queen, has no recollection of who her father was, or is. Her life, is far from normal. From the age of 3 she was told her father had passed away. They had a funeral and all, only, Lily has no memory of that.

From the age of 13 her mom turned inside out, becoming the monster everyone believed her to be. She trained Lily to fight, to kill, and best of all, hold back emotions. Don't get attached. In the end it's always been business, she was always put on the second tier of her mothers cake.

Lily doesn't want this life, she never has. She's wanted a normal family, kids, and a husband. She doesn't want to be her mother. Not everyone gets what they want though, do they.

Grayson Smith, son of the Mafia king, crime lord, what ever you want to call it, has a decent life going for him. He's in line to be the next big boss. He'll be taking over for his dad soon enough, and he's more than ready for it. He's got the grades, the ladies, and the signature title of school bad boy.

The only thing he's had to do was keep himself un-noticed, and follow orders. So when he gets orders from his dad to keep a close eye on Lily, he has no other choice but to follow through. Grayson has always been good at keeping his emotions locked up somewhere deep inside him. Somewhere no one can reach. Well, that is, until he mets Lily.
