You don't have to watch the anime to understand the story. The whole plot is mine XD. Though I added some (very little) parts from the anime to keep the flow of the story.

You are an exchange student who transferred to Japan because of your father's frequent visits for case studies. You are not sure for how long you will be staying there but it will be a while.

It's a slow burn romance between y/n and Oikawa Tooru and how their relationship developed over time. (I am very bad with summary!) 
I just want to state that there is no smut involved, I'm sorry if it's a turn off.
