Misery Loves Company

Yumiko is a plain high school student who has resigned herself to the sobering reality of her uneventful youth, yet she secretly pines for a romance to call her own (akin to the ones she reads in girls' manga and watches in TV dramas). She meets Takashi, the handsome and well-liked transfer student whose mysterious demeanor conceals a naively earnest personality. As the unlikely pair spends more time with each other, Yumiko's discarded dreams seem to inch closer to reality. However, it becomes apparent to Yumiko that someone is not so keen on her and Takashi's relationship from deepening any further...
