For one, she was half alien which kind of threw off any dream of normalcy in the first place. Secondly, she was pretty sure that her dad was part of the Batfam. She wasn't one hundred percent sure on that, though. She hadn't seen any of them since she was three. Thirdly, and lastly, she was a superhero. Though, she did suppose that development was slightly more recent. She did what she could to blend in. She kept all her powers under tight wraps, and she pretended. She pretended to be uninterested in anything hero related. She pretended to be clumsy. She pretended to be in pain when 'injured.' She pretended that she was perfectly fine because if she didn't, she would have broken ages ago. So how? How in the world had she managed to find herself as one of the class pariahs where attention always seemed to be thrown at her? And how is it that she's managed to find herself in Gotham of all places once again after twelve years of being away? Trick question. She always knew that the universe hated her. ***** Inspired by 'The Meaning of Family' by jessisamess (j3ssisam3ss) on Ao3 ***** Disclaimer: I obviously do not own any MLB or DC characters and/or their storylines
