Honorable people had long ago become hard to come by for someone who'd experienced such hardships in life like Moira West had. Isolation was her remedy to being hurt by those who claimed to love her, and that remedy came with an overindulgence in drugs, alcohol, and the sorrow that she wallowed in. Her dreams of becoming a chef never wavered, but addiction and a low self-regard hindered her drive to walk the path to success and happiness, the latter she no longer believed she was worthy of.
Michael Jackson, a young, single father to a vibrant four-year-old, found himself navigating life with no clear-cut goal for his future. He was unsatisfied with where he stood, what he represented, and wanted more for himself and his daughter. The inevitable fate that came with being affiliated terrified Michael, more and more as lives were lost over irrelevant beef that never justified senseless murder.
Moira and Michael's relationship started off unconventional and especially rocky, but time and much-needed intimacy made them see that happiness was attainable if you chased it.
