Theo Raeken thinks he can just continue living his life in his truck. After all, there's nobody out there who cares about him, right? And sure, he'll help out Scott's pack and all, but everybody knows Theo won't ever be in it - there's only one person who even tolerates him in Scott's pack, and that's Liam Dunbar.
Liam Dunbar is the temporary alpha of the McCall pack while Scott's away at college, and he's handling things pretty well. He's worried about Theo, not that's he's told anybody that - after all, there was that whole "psychotic killing spree" thing. Liam knows that Theo's still in Beacon Hills, but Liam has no idea where he is, and the young beta wishes that he knew.

The chimera and the true alphas beta
This takes place after season 6, after everything was back to normal in beacon hills Scott, Malia, Lydia and stiles all go/ go back to college. Liam is expected to take on the role as alpha which he's worried will be to much for him. On top of that his best friends relationship with Corey is growing so mason and Liam hang out less and less. Liam started to feel alone. He was about to lose everyone. But there was one person in beacon hills who wasn't leaving and that was Theo. Liam had officially realized he liked Theo when he saw him heal gabe. He saw just how much Theo could/did care. When Theo and liam start hanging out more Theo realizes he isn't getting as many nightmares as before. He also realized just how much Liam confuses him it started to bother him and he decided to ignore liam that didn't go to well seeing as when Theo didn't respond to Liam's text and calls he went to find him worried he could be in trouble. Book One Theo was the bad guy, always had been since being corrupted by the dread doctors when he was just a boy, everyone thought he was nothing but trouble and that's how he got treated when Liam brought him back from hell, he was untrusted and a danger to everyone and maybe himself. When the ghost riders turned up thats when everything changed: at the end everyone was gone besides a couple lucky people and two of those lucky people were Theo and Liam, and this is when it changed, when Theo changed. When the hunters tried to kill everyone that's when Theo realised just how much he needed people there for him, he wasn't going to survive on his own and if it meant risking his life then he was going to do it. But there's something Liam's pack never knew or so he thought: he and Theo had dated during all of this chaos and now everything was calm they didn't know how to act: when your trying to not be killed you don't care if your in a lift with your ex boyfriend, but now there's a problem both boys realise just how much they wish they still had each other but they're refusing to be together until maybe just maybe someone hits breaking point.
