My lips curled back as I snarled at the boy standing in front of me. He returned my cold, hard stare evenly, but that all changed in an instant.
His face grew soft, his eyes filling up with hope and love. It surprised me enough to make me want to run in the other direction, but I stood my ground.
I crouched down and crept forward, a low growl escaping my lips. The boy lifted his hands up and dropped to his knees in front of me, catching my fur in his hands and grasping it tightly.
He lowered his head, making himself small, giving me the power in this moment.
"Luna," he whispered and looked up at me.
Her name is Luna. Ironically enough, she is a werewolf. A she-wolf.
When she was younger, she wanted nothing more than to be claimed by a passionate, dominant Alpha. But as she grew older, she wanted the opposite.
She liked the idea of being by herself, she got to know herself more. A strong, independent woman is what she grew into. She learned the basics by herself, like how to hunt, clean and cook. She was all that she needed in her life.
She was supposed to be the Luna of a new pack. A combination of a very well-known pack and her lesser known pack. The Darkmoon's and the Nightstar's. Their new pack is to be called Darkstar.
That means an Alpha would be needed. That Alpha was supposed to be Axel Darkmoon. But she didn't want to be his Luna, most girls would kill for this opportunity, but not her.
But will her mind change when she's forced to spend time with him as the pack begins to form? Who knows, maybe she'll grow to like him.
