Darcey isn't exactly your normal 16 year old girl. She has magical abilities due to her mother being a sourceress. When she was born, a prophecy was applied to her, that she was the most powerful witch of her time and when the time was right she would become the legend of the red queen and because of this she was taken away from her mother and kept hidden until she ran away and has lived with the wells family ever since. As well as this, the prophecy mentioned that she had a mate, a werewolf mate.
