As countless before her had done, a young lady looked up at the stars, and wondered if we were alone. It turns out that life in our galaxy is extremely rare. There have only ever been two instances. A hundred thousand years ago, a young man on a planet on the opposite side of the galaxy had also looked up and wondered. His civilization had scanned every know star, and found only one other planet with an oxygen atmosphere. Before their sun went nova, they had built a single spaceship for a lone passenger. It meant leaving everything and everyone he knew behind. But it was a tiny chance to find someone in the galaxy to know of the great culture and knowledge that had once existed, and was now gone without a trace. It was a long and lonely journey, to the oxygen planet.

The Advisors, the ten women governing the world, want to assimilate the people of the island, not knowing that those people have an extreme advantage over them. Maxine also learns that her family has been lying to her about who she really is. Ultimately, when the Advisors come to destroy the island, she must face the fact that she is the key to the island's salvation, and embracing her rapidly developing abilities is the only way to do so.Complete

They were wrong. The Xandisians evolved in ways humans never could have imagined, they are natural-born killers with phenomenal strength and agility. Their kind never went through the same devolution as humans, they never lost their natural instincts to hunt, kill, or breed. With their limitless potential and monstrous strength, they faced few threats and could survive almost any threat that befall their species, almost. After an incurable sickness washes over the planet of xanadis, the majority of the female, young and elderly, and vulnerable population is all but wiped out, leaving a small portion of the male population to face the threat of extinction. With no choice but to look to the stars for a means to save their kind from complete annihilation, the xandisians set out to find a race compatible with their own. after many years and countless failed expeditions, they finally find a species that matches their base DNA on a planet called Earth. Everyone was evacuated from the home planet over 150 years ago. Our planet was dying, it was only a matter of time before our race was wiped out. We now live on a synthetic planet designed and built by our ancestors who came together from all parts of the globe to devise a plan to save us. We have lived peacefully for over a century.. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth. 100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. She was abducted from Earth by an alien species known as the Ghoul who conduct inhumane experiments on humans in the name of the almighty dollar for a woman named Andrea Webb, former director of the agency K9 before her illegal trafficking of altered humans was revealed by K9 agents. Zeus is a Wolfeen tech agent working for unit 10 of the K9 agency. He and his team broke the case on hybrids when one of his fellow agents, Brock fell for one of the hybrids. Apparently much like the female Wolfreen, the human hybrids altered with Wolfeen DNA react exactly the same as born Wolfeen's. Only to a much more dangerous degree. When a hybrid meets their fated mate, they go into heat, and because they can't handle it, if they aren't mated quickly the heat can cause permanent damage to their brain function, internal organs, and even death. In order to embark on a mission to discover alien life on the icy moon of Jupiter Maria must leave her life on Earth behind, including her father and her seven-year-old son Diego. She thought the hardest part of the mission would be saying goodbye, but little does she know what awaits her and her crew on Europa, an environment that has never been explored from the surface until this mission. Perhaps alien life was never meant to be explored by humans... Will she fulfill her promise to her father and son to make it home alive, or will she fail to make good on that promise like her mother did when she was a little girl? Note: This story was written during a challenge to write an entire book in one week!
