Hawkmoth almost got Ladybug's Miraculous due to her receiving major injuries in a fight, resulting in her de-transforming and revealing her identity. She realizes that she's not cut out for being Ladybug and decides that someone else should be the proper holder. What Chat Noir didn't know, was that his future 'lady'...is a boy!
