@zpanacea gave me the suggestion to write a soulmate fic where Harry's and Louis's souls switch and they wake up in each other's bodies.

Until you find your soulmate the world is in black and white until you meet your soulmate. When you turn 18 a tattoo of your soulmate's first word to you appears on your arm. If you're older than your soulmate you stay 18 until he/she/they catch up. 

When Harry wakes up on his 13th birthday he notices two things.
1. The room is in color.
2. The face staring back at him in the mirror isn't his own.

Unable to stay in his apartment he goes out for walks in the middle of the night, hoping that it will make him tired enough to fall asleep. One night he passes a guy who is also out walking at three o'clock at night. After passing each other a couple of times they start talking. His name is Louis and he also suffers from Insomnia. The night becomes their time, where they get to know each other under the stars. Warnings: Grief, Insomnia, smut.
