I rolled my eyes as I observed the partygoers around me. My parents didn't trust me to stay home alone for a week so they had forced me to stay with my older brother until they got back from their business trip. Unfortunately for me, this forced me to adapt to his lifestyle which included ridiculous parties in his penthouse.
I was seated on one of the white leather couches when one of his friends I vaguely recognized decided to take a seat beside me and attempt to strike up a conversation. I tried to make it obvious that I wasn't interested but he was oblivious.
It wasn't until someone else sat down on the other side of me and put their arm around me and confidently said "She's with me." that got him to leave me alone.
I immediately turned around, ready to yell at the guy and then walk away because I most certainly wasn't there with anyone. I paused though once I saw his face. I hadn't expected him to be so attractive.
