A mother too afraid of losing her daughter causes more issues than good and a father that is riddled with illness. How can I build a friendship when I am not allowed to?

Was there hope for me to save my relationship with my mother, save my father and have a great friendship with the boy of the past?  will an evil lurk within the friendship group?
