THIS NOVEL IS THE PREQUEL OF "THE REBEL GENIUS" In the human mind there are thoughts and impulses that cannot always be controlled. A modern Othello, jealous and cynical, believes that his partner is cheating on him with a cheap psychologist. Being hostile to any kind of cure, he cannot bear that others may seek existential change. In fact, he is so afraid of therapy because he is afraid of being left behind. His partner is not helped at all by his behavior, possessive and defeatist, and decides to choose a different life. So he agrees with the doctor to make sure that what his partner supposes, that is a betrayal, is believed to be reality, so that he himself decides to leave his partner. But the reaction of this man, who believes himself betrayed and offended, is obviously pathological and leads to an ending that escapes any psychological prediction.
