The darkness will grow, and she will awaken to fight it, like she did long ago." Galadriel says, turning to her husband and taking his hand. The she-elf is not as young as she seems, she had nearly faded when Galadriel found her at the beginning of the second age. The elf never woke, but the Lady of Light has foreseen it; Naehlara will awaken to help lead the elves, men and all free folk to peace, for she is the High Queen of the elves. The only living elf from the first age. Her fae grows stronger with every year bringing her closer to awakening. Galadriel once was friends with the elf, her father Thingol; king of Doriath before it was abandoned and forgotten as the first age elves left Middle Earth to go back to Valanor or faded with time. "I have longed to see my friend reawaken but how do you explain to one that nearly two ages has passed since she fell into slumber." Galadriel says, a small smile growing on her face. "She was a mighty warrior, the best in all of Middle Earth. But she was stubborn, not as wise as most elves. A lot more like our Woodland kin, the ones in Greenwood." Galadriel says, a laugh slipping through her lips as she remembers watching Naehlara fight in the wars long ago. This time no dragons were involved, although she would have considered that preferable to the giant eye said to be watching them on their journey to destroy Saruman Ring of Power. It's not just the Dark Lord she has to worry about, with her 'itch' becoming more frequent, and her transformations more painful, she can't hide the truth for long. What will she do when Legolas, a cherished friend, tries to help her? It's a tale of intrigue, curses, death, and love. There will be references and scenes taken directly from the books and the movies along with scenes I've written in entirety. I've tried to edit the book scenes to match how I describe things from each character's perspective so it is a little more flowy. Enjoy!!
