Haphephobia is a rare but often devastating phobia. It's the fear of being touched. Imagine the second someone touches you without warning you immediately cringe and vigorously rub that area until you can no longer feel it. You just want to roll into a ball and cry. People see you as a psychopath, a freak because you are different. What they don't know is why you have this fear. How it had come on. That was something no one knew, you just wanted to forget. It's not easy and it never has been. How can someone fight a fear they've had for twenty years?
You simply can't.
