    My lips parted in shock.
    
    "I'm not spoiled." I protested adamantly.

    "I-I just didn't want you to be hungry." I defended weakly, a bit embarrassed from his observation.
    
    "Hmm my spoiled girl," He paused giving my neck a small squeeze before continuing, "such good manners."

    Annie had always been different to say the least. Maybe it was the revolving door of people that came and went in her life or maybe it was the memories of events her mind worked so hard to suppress. Either way, she had a lot to fear in a world that was seemingly out to get her.
