Ashley Martha Wayne, is the daughter of Bruce Wayne. She is a woman of many things, top lawyer, former professional ballerina, considered to be 'The Princess of Gotham', and was known as the original Batgirl. While she is a very respected individual, Ashley and her father have an estranged relationship.
Due to the pain that Gotham has given her, from the death of two allies, Ashley moved far far away from Gotham and moved to New York never to look back on the city again and vowed to never put on the mask again. What happens when Ashley get's a call saying she needs to come home and leave everything she knows behind.
