I don't think I'll finish this one. Sorry. I'll leave it up for a bit in case I have any active readers. But then It's probably coming down. In the year 2025, after the world saw major resurgences of COVID, and President Trilby refused to concede the election, which spiraled the country into civil war - the country is fragmented. The Freedom Coalition of the North is a financial hub. Pacifica is a bountiful military powerhouse. What was once Arizona, Nevada, and Utah are too hot, destroyed by war, and inhospitable. The South and the mid-west are all pawns to the dictatorship of "President" Trilby. Only the Central Rocky Mountain region, "The Neutral", remains free. The close-knit community of friends and employees of the small Colorado ski area The Pines have banded together to survive the perils of this new world. When one of their former friends, Jonathan, returns to the people he "abandoned". He must find a way to integrate into a whole new world. A world of meager means, dual roles, and polyamorous households. This ensemble cast shares the highs and lows of surviving at The Pines. Don't be fooled, this is still primarily a romance full of rich characters and untold stories from multiple perspectives. It is a mature story, but less heat or "smutty goodness" from some of my other stories.
