Printing press worker Vincent Grey is a widower at twenty-eight years old in 1886 London, England. Already shy and soft spoken, he finds moving on from his ex-wife difficult--especially since she's still hanging around. Emily died of tuberculosis, but still roams the halls of their home, speaking to Vincent, who can see her. His love for her still consumes him until he meets Eulalie Aldrich, the daughter of the man who wants to purchase the print shop. How does Vincent make peace with his love for his now deceased wife and move onto a new love when Emily won't cross over?
