The Heart of Him

As someone who's dedicated their life to the field of art history, Zayn Malik knows that he's not the most exciting of twenty-six year olds. He loves museums, reading about Monet, and listening to podcasts about conspiracy theories. The independent research project that he starts alongside his new job as a lecturer at Oxford is even lacking colour: prove that Leonardo da Vinci's findings superseded the discoveries being made today. He expects to come across a myriad of treasure troves shadowing inventors throughout the university, but nothing prepares him for what he finds in the surgical sciences department - PhD student Liam Payne, who has a charming smile and will stop at nothing to change the future of cardiology. By shadowing Liam's research, Zayn learns everything there is to know about the human heart, but what he finds even more valuable is discovering just how easy an introverted brainiac like him can be to love.
