Hydra had become so desperate to get another Winter Soldier, that they resorted to stealing reproductive cells from the Red Room. In his time as the Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes was given that mission. The cell he stole belonged to the famous Black Widow. 
This spawned Auriana the Soldier of Summer. She was 14 when the events of this story happened.
