"It wasn't him, Magnus. You know that, don't you?" asked Elliott desperately. "He would never murder an innocent woman! Never! You know him!" he said. I nodded.

"I know, Elliott." I said, while hoping that we were talking about the same Alec I met three years ago. 

It's been three years. After Magnus and Celine left the Shadowhunters, they went back to their normal lives. They lived just like they did before everything happened. They wouldn't forget what they experienced there but they moved on. 

Three years later, they came back, since they needed help desperately. Just as Magnus thought he's over it, he gets to meet the love of his life again. Just not under the circumstances he expected.

It's Friday the 13th. Magnus is late for work. Again because of his cat. He's locking up his apartment when he gets a phone call that he's been fired. Alec was supposed to move into his new apartment that day, but the landlord left him the wrong key. Alec has been sitting on the stairs outside the apartment for an hour and a half. This is the moment when their paths cross. NOTE: So it all started when I saw this picture. I immediately put aside the other 2 stories I was writing, and started this one. I look into his eyes and there are the stories. This pic is driving me crazy. (The pictures used in this book are taken from the internet. Credit to the rightful owner.) Alec wants nothing more but to protect the warlock he fall in love from the monster who wants to capture him for himself, and so Alec along with Clary, Simon, Isabelle, Jace, Raphael, and Maia all made a vow to protect Magnus from Valentine and his Circle Shadowhunters until they are brought to justice, but capturing them will not be easy, and Alec and Magnus will both soon realize is that their love is as strong as ever and will soon realize how much they need each other.
