Percy Jackson is depressed and has succumbed to self destructive ways to release his frustration. Nobody notices a thing until Nico gets wind of his former crush drifting farther and farther away. Percy suddenly has new feelings for someone new, and he gets rejected by someone, but not who he thinks. He gets a quest and has to pick one other person from camp to go with him to rescue a friend. Percy gets cursed along the way and has to make it back to Camp to save a life.
This story is about Percy self harming, and Nico helping him, there are mentions of dizziness, the feeling of starving, graphic self harm/injuries, blood, graphic thoughts of a person with depression, and probably something like psychological horror. If any of that makes you uncomfortable, don't read!!! I don't think I'm going to get any backlash for anything but if you comment, I'm probably not going to answer you! To the people who leave nice comments, I do read all of them and it is appreciated! this is my first published work, I just wanted to add something to this cool community and maybe live a little vicariously through the characters. So if any of this resonates with you, awesome, you're NEVER alone!!!!

DISCONTINUED Percy and Annabeth are... happy together. Percy plans on proposing to her soon. But... he's not really in love with her. Not anymore. The dark-eyed son of Hades has caught his eye, he just doesn't know it yet. Not until he begins to cough up dark red petals and whole carnations. The Hanahaki Disease is an illness born from unrequited love, where the patient's throat will fill up with flower, they will then proceed to throw, and cough up the petals, (sometimes even the flowers). One of the only ways for the disease to 'disappear' is if, the said person returns the feeling (it can't be resolved with friendship, it has to be genuine feelings of love). The infection can also be removed through surgery, though the feelings disappear along with the petals. If they choose neither options, or the feeling is not returned in time, then the patient's lungs will fill up with flowers, and will eventually suffocate.
