It's the experience of a lifetime. The opportunity to live on a small island community, with minimal communication with the rest of the world, and to enjoy a calm, relaxed lifestyle where nothing ever happens. That's what it said on the brochure. The only problem is, life on Enning doesn't seem as perfect as real-life-escapee Beck has been led to believe. Her new neighbours won't leave her alone, nobody seems to be interested in taking the resident princess wannabe down a peg or two, and there isn't a decent cup of coffee to be had. And as for nothing ever happening: Beck has barely had time to unpack her bags before she's heading off to find a mysteriously missing islander. It isn't long before she's getting her suspicions that, even on an island where everybody knows everybody else's business, it's still possible to have difficult, and maybe even dangerous, secrets...
