For a typical Nigerian teenager, secondary school days, especially the senior years are supposed to be the best, endless fun, happy memories, hangouts, friendship, and even first loves but for Kunmi, a girl who suffers extreme low self-esteem due to body shaming, she just wants to remain unseen for the rest of her secondary school days.
A friendship with the queen bee of her school leads her to another group of teenagers, especially Adam, the pretty boy with the golden smile and for the first time, she felt she could truly belong somewhere but then, all is not what it seems with the group of teenagers as some of them have even bigger demons and secrets, secrets that'd mar them forever.

She felt his warm palm on her wrist and at once she was facing him. Without warning, his lips engulfed hers, setting her on fire just like she did him. His lips were warm and soft and she revelled in it as she shut her eyes, her body instantly warming up to the kiss. She wrapped her arms around him, marvelling at how their bodies fit perfectly together. It felt so good, like her head was rotating. Nothing else mattered. Just the two of them. This was all she needed. Someone who accepted her for her. Her flaws, her beauty, herself, hook line and sinker. She withdrew reluctantly, angry she had to stop the kiss and also afraid someone had seen them. As she stared into his eager eyes, she knew she loved him but she couldn't help thinking she was doing the wrong thing. She loved him, but it wasn't fair to his girl. For seventeen years, I was trapped in a boring life, the people I made contact with everyday are my parent, Julia and no one else, my aunt drops by occasionally. I want more than that boring life, I want to stop being home school, I want to know how life is by not living under the watchful eyes of my parent and I got it when I spent my last year in high school at Blake high school. It was crazy, I experienced a lot, I met the mighty P-12, Every happy Linda, Annoying Amy, mysterious Isabella, Joel and his bully crew, playful Zion, boyish and troublesome Mitchello, cunny Irantiola, sweethearted Bee and my heartrob leandro. I learnt something which I still held with me till today, the people you least expected to hurt you will hurt you most, you can never tell someone can hurt you until the person hurt you. I am glad I left home, I made some mistakes and I learnt my lesson, never judge someone you just met because you can never tell their story, how life has dealt with them, what makes them what they are presently, I have a lot to talk about in my story.Complete
