Nowhere To Run
"W-w-what do you want with me?" I ask, terrified, as he pulls me onto his lap. His arms are around me again, and his head leans against mine.
He chuckles, and it sends a chill up my spine. "Isn't it obviously, darling?"
I hesitantly shake my head no.
He laughs again. "Why, I want you."
I freeze at his words.
"You are mine, and mine only. No other man can look at you the way I do. I love you, Amelia, and you will be mine until the end of time."
I start to shake. He lifts me off him, and lays me on the couch, holding my arms down.
I squeeze my eyes shut.
"Don't you want to see the face of your soul mate?" His voice says, a voice that is strangely familiar.
I open my eyes, and stare into his face. My eyes widen at the sight of him. "It's... You?"
He laughs, and he brings two fingers to my throat, and press hard.
"Yes darling, it is I."
As my throat shuts down, all I see is his face.
The last thought that passes my mind before the darkness takes over is:
It's him. It's him. It's him...
