Perfectly Imperfect (On Hold)
I have secrets,
That I'd rather not tell.
I have memories,
Which I am forced to relive.
I have a past,
One I long to forget.
But, I guess they're right, when they say you can't escape your past. Because, I have learnt that as much as I want to I can not avoid the past; I can hide but it will eventually find me; I can run but never outrun it.
They say my eyes look like the ocean. Oh how close they are to the truth. They are the ocean. My eyes seem so calm, relaxed and void of tragedy, yet like the ocean they are deceiving. The waves look gentle but can pull you in with force. I seem so happy but the weight of my life and mistakes makes me sink.
Sometimes it's best for those swimming on the surface to never venture too far, or they might drown themselves. It's better if the secrets in the depths of my eyes aren't discovered, that the sunken ships at the bottom of the sea aren't found. I look so composed but inside I am crumbling. The ocean is perfect until you see the whirlpools within.
Elise Thorn is a 21 year old agent. With a past that can drive you crazy, she struggles to survive.
This mission may cause her to end up revealing everything. She didn't know she'd have to tell anyone, to reveal her secrets to the very people she was hiding them from; she didn't think she'd have to face the past she was trying to escape; she didn't want to be caught up in the web of the events which she desperately fought to forget; she certainly didn't expect to fall in love with none other than the very man she despised.
But, if that gang is going to be caught, Elise needs to break down her walls and tell her team the truth, starting with her real name.
"You're better off without me. I'm not perfect, I'm not good for you," I whisper.
"Do you really think I care if you're not perfect? I love you and I always will, because for me you are perfectly imperfect, even with all your flaws."
