I furrow my eyebrows, "You were baiting me? Jerk, just turn off your music!"

"Or what?" He asks teasingly. 

"Or..or I'll tell the front office!"

He shrugs, "Go ahead, you're the only one complaining."

I glare at him, "Ooh you are so!"

He looks at me amusingly, "So what?"

"So!"

He brings his face closer to mine, "Say what you want to say." His voice was low as he stared into my eyes. I was suddenly mute, completely drawn into those warm brown eyes. I don't know why I did, but I leaned into him. Our lips finally colliding. His arms pull my body closer to his as he kisses me hungrily.

It all started with a stupid dare. 

21-year old transfer student Amina Bassey always had a plan. She knew from the age of 10 what college she was going to go to and how she was going to get there. She's always had perfect grades and fulfilled all of her parents expectations of her. 

But all that changed the second she met Dominic Taylor, the most insufferable, impatient, and rudest man she had ever met. She hates him with all her guts, but at the same time can't get enough of him after a game of truth or dare leads the pair into a complicated relationship. How long can they last before things begin to fall apart?

Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him. Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy. A boy with an easy smile, a charming personality and looks so enticing that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him if I tried. A boy whose shoulders were starting to slump with the weight of his past and his family. A boy who believed that the only way to survive was by putting a lock on his heart and chaining it down to a place so deep inside of him that no one could ever reach it again. A boy who, for reasons I'll never comprehend, placed the key inside my palm and didn't shy away when I tried to free his hidden heart from its restraints. A boy who made me the main character of my own story. A story I never want to forget, and which begged to be put on paper.
