On the surface, data science and web development look like an unlikely pair to draw comparisons to one another. After all, what has the science of analyzing and interpreting data got to do with developing images and content on websites, based on the client's requirements? 
Yes, data science and web development are far from congenital twins. They can be likened to not even siblings or cousins, but more to neighbors. 
Let us get going then, on how data science is different from web development:
Characteristics: A combination of technology, algorithms and statistics make up data science, which is all used to analyze data. On the other hand, web development is mainly about putting in the right design elements through tools and technologies such as html, CSS, etc. to make the website carry out its functions as the face of the organization. 
We talked about the convergence between the two. Now, here is where this happens: once an organization's creative and technological brains create a functional and well-designed website, data science takes over. As businesses become more E-based, data science comes in to analyze the various aspects of the website to help deliver results for the organization.
Nature of work: A web developer uses languages such as html, JavaScript, CSS, etc. to develop websites. All the elements of a website, such as UI, user friendliness, layouts, frameworks, etc., have to be made to work together in the right fashion and proportion. So, this involves not only the use of technology, but also a lot of creativity. It also involves coordinating closely with copywriters, content writers, coders, marketers, and so on, so that the website drives business and is very effective from all perspectives.All Rights Reserved

Back in the late 1990's a great PC game came out called FREELANCER. It was an open galaxy adventure space game that had a good storyline. I spent untold hours flying through space in this game and I always thought it was ripe for a spinoff side story but I never pursued it. Nearly 30 years later I discovered a website called GOOD OLD GAMES where you could find and download many great games of yore. There I found FREELANCER. So I climbed back into the cockpit of a starfighter after so long and have enjoyed it even more than I did way back when. Once again the possibility of a side story presented itself and this time I have risen to the challenge. I have always been an avid reader of SCI-FI and I will be the first to tell you that I have blatantly used ideas from other sci-fi works in my story. I have also used names of real people and places to flesh out my narrative. And as a warning for those offended by sexual content, I have included some pretty erotic sexual segments in my story, so you may want to close your eyes as you read those parts. If you have ever enjoyed playing the FREELANCER PC game, you may enjoy my story. Let me know. As a side note to the story: In the story there is a space station named Lajes. Before the fall of Earth humanity built a great colony ship, ten thousand of the colonist left Earth for a hundred year journey to Gillespie. They came from all over the Earth leaving a planet knowing they would never see another in their lifetime. The Ark is a rotating cylinder the size of a large island with its own train system. It's divided into three main sections, the city, the framlands, and the Lowers. The people are divided into three groups as well, Uppers, Middles and Lowers. Uppers are made of elite scientist, Astro-crops, bureaucrats they made up about 3% of the population. The Middles are are the farmers, the guard, teachers, doctors, the food processors, clothes makers and of course the mechanical maintenance workers. They make-up the 97% of the 10,000 counted citizens. The lowers are criminals and children born to un-paired parents. They live separated from the middles and Upper. In lowers you work in water reclamation or in one of the fish farms that supply protein to the ship. In the year 2149 Dylan De Rovia is trying to wrap her head around the idea that in two year's she'll be paired. That they call marriage on the Ark. Pairing is good most who are paired do end-up staying together because while genetics play good part in determining a match so does personality. Some people choose to use spend this time having a good time with as many partners as possible. Dylan however, vowed that she would never fall in love with anyone before pairing. The universe had other plans however, when Dylan learns that she'll pair with an Upper named Kyive Sinclar life gets more complicated than ever. Falling in love is hard enough falling in love in space that the story.
