The daughter of a wealthy Australian diplomat, Celestia Firethorne has fled to London to avoid her family's high expectations and a client turned stalker. She comes across the long empty 221c on Baker Street, and finds herself tangled up with the unavoidable Sherlock Holmes.
But something strange begins to occur.
Celestia starts to see pictures, snap shots of people's lives in the blink of an eye. The consulting detective enlists her help to fill the void John left, but one day Celestia sees something she never expected to find in Sherlock Holmes. With a new villain on the loose, anything could happen. Riddles, ciphers, murders... This culprit will stop at nothing to make his point clear. I don't know.
I've seen a book start the second chapter with
"Jonas collapsed to his knees and stared with horror at the ornate dagger sticking out of Tomas's throat."

That is the BEST starter paragraph I have ever seen in my entire LIFE.
I really love how you describe the setting(s) in this story, it makes everything come alive and much easier to picture
I read the first three lines, and I already knew it would trap me in. The sleepless nights train has come to town. Toot-toot!!! I love the way you describe everything, I can really picture the main character in my head, along with everything else.
A high functioning sociopath, the only consulting detective in the world (he invented the job) AND THE MOST FRICKIN AMAZING PERSON EVER
Lol this is London mate, not to mention central London, that flat could go for half a million +
