Lara is what she goes by. She's an eccentric, outgoing, and cupcaking-loving girl who works in the bakery with her best friend, Mindy, who is the only person that knows the real Lara. She is the only one that knows what happens behind those shiny gold eyes and her regular smile. But one day when Lara is trusted to work alone at the bakery, Casper Partridge, notorious bad boy on the "don't mess with list" shows up at her work wanting an application to work as an employee at Sally's Sweet Sugary. So, working with the bad boy at your bakery, everyday after school, and not telling anyone, isn't so bad.. is it? --- "Lara..", he said, his voice husky as his hands clasp around my waist. My voice strains to find itself, still too stunned to speak. "Y-yes?" "Have you realized something?" "Realize what?" He leans extremely close to me and barely whispers into my ear, "you smell like cupcakes." His statement made me want to laugh, but I kept my mouth shut, as shivers ran down my back. He leans away but still stays close to me at a dangerous proximity and then looks at me with a huge force of intensity. Before I could ask him what on earth he was doing, he presses his lips against mine. His soft lips move with mine and although I hated to admit it, I loved it. The way he could easily cause goosebumps to erupt on my arms and make my face burn into flames. But instead of kissing him back, I stand there, hands awkwardly hanging, and eyes wide open like a bug. His lips pull away from mine only a few seconds after and then form a smirk. "You taste like one too."
