At the age of 7, Katarina Hale was stripped from her black and white world, being savagely thrown into a world of grey. A tragedy that had scarred her childhood defined her nights, inviting the monsters underneath her bed to come out and play. Nightmares crawled into her bed, tucking her restless body into a false safe haven. The memories of the violent night resurfaced, each more gruesome than the last.
Now, 16 years later, the incident that seemed so long ago continues to sneak its way in to torment the intruded mind. Still heartbroken from the events of a day gone wrong, Katarina sets out into a world of sorrow. Grief isn't one of Katarina's strongest suits, so instead of moving on, drowning herself in a pool of alcohol seems like the best option.
After teenage years of constant booze, an accidental encounter may just be able to relinquish Katarina from her ineffective lifestyle.
Introduced into a danger zone with no one to trust but herself, Katarina must leave behind who she was and accept her new fate. Unbeknownst to her, unknown enemies are on the verge of horizon, waiting for the chance to strike.
Katarina must set aside her personal feelings of a gruesome night and seek out the truth of the past 16 years. With a curtain reveal of a lineage filled with secrets and betrayal, will Katarina fulfill her given role or be discouraged by the deceiving dangers lurking at every corner?
