Jessica Waters considered herself a pretty average teenager. She went to school, hung out with her friends, argued with her parents, and lived to play ice hockey. Then one day, her world is shattered. Her parents are killed in a car accident and she is sent to live with her aunt and uncle. Transplanted two hundred miles from everything and everyone she has ever known, she discovers that one more thing has been taken from her: Ice Hockey. The school only has one team: and it's an all-boy team but Jessica is not going to let that stop her. She doesn't care what the snobby cliquish rich girls at her new high school think. And she really doesn't care what the handsome and obnoxious Avery Jessop thinks. Even if he is the captain of the team. Even if he thinks he owns the school. And even if he is determined to do everything in his power to convince Jessica not to play.
