Common Misconceptions (boyxboy)
"How do you feel about Ray Louis?" I would tell you the truth, but nobody likes the cold, hard truth. Everybody avoids the truth like it's a disease, and in a way it is. The truth coming from a lover's or a mere stranger's lips can slither into your mind and create a nest in a branch at the very tip of the tree with a small bird reminding you every once in a while of the bitter truth, so instead, we feed off of lies that serve as a sedation to the bird, silencing it for a while but never quite getting rid of it. As a child, I was lied to quite a lot, now I'm known as cold-hearted or crude, but, it's just me relying on the thing I was deprived of, the truth. You would think that me having such a reputation as an avoidable disgrace people would leave me alone, but you have never been so wrong. So, how do I HONESTLY feel about Ray Louis? Well, I hate him with everything in me. I hate his raven black hair and his icy blue eyes. I despise his way of treating girls and stomping all over them. I loathe the way he single handedly rules everything in the school because people fear his very presence. I detest his social status as the rich bad boy, captain of the football team, and most popular, yet feared, boy at Monroe High School. I never quite understood how a boy who has everything handed to him on a silver platter can be so troubled. So, when Ray Louis approached me - a sarcastic, blunt, and angsty boy - he didn't quite expect the reaction he got.
