Once Upon A Winter
Chace Andrelus was 16 when he moved to Coningsby, Massachusetts. Coningsby was a town full of many different people with different stories and goals, and when he moved to this town to be with his new foster parents, the story that was about to be retold was one he was unprepared for.
Her name was a mystery. But one fatal night when Chace meets a girl with white skin and hair, accompanied with a pair of blue eyes, he becomes obsessed with her. She seems to be everywhere, but no where at the same time. Is he imagining her?
Chace always wanted to be a journalist, but the story of people, like that mysterious girl, was much more than he hoped for. They were everywhere. They were no where. And when he finally realizes what exactly is happening in Coningsby, he finds that these stories have no ending, and it's up to him to create one for the town.
"Don't look at them," Chace said to Louis as he wiped away the tears in his eyes. "I can, but if ordinary people like you do, you'll be pulled into the emotion that governs their lives. And in 36 days that emotion will take over, and you'll die. She told me that. That's why our friend is dead now. He looked at Vural when his emotions were vulnerable. They all do that, I don't know why and neither do they. That's what I've been trying to figure out. Why their stories revolve around that emotion. If I figure that out, I can save the people of Coningsby from dying every winter. This has been happening for too long-60 years too long."
One thing was for sure; it was going to be one hell of a winter.
