**This story is complete but will be revised.**
The rising body count and a perplexing case are a couple of the obstacles which threaten to end their promising careers--and their future together.
Alessandra Mareau, an ambitious forensic investigator, has a decent life in Chicago. Her dedication and attention to detail have helped solve many murders in the time she has worked for the Illinois State Police.
A body at an abandoned lot brings her and Dylan Jameson, an arrogant special agent, back together again. After the past he's had when it comes to the Bureau and his personal life, Dylan has a lot to prove. This case could be the one that decides his future. He won't let anything or anyone stand in the way.
Over the course of the investigation, the pair finds themselves trying to uncover a tangled web of addiction, deceit, and murder. They'll have to overcome the odds and solve the crime without falling into the hands of one of the city's most ruthless killers.

This reminds me of American Horror Story Asylum. If any readers have seen it, it fits the description of the infamous Bloody Face.

The way this guy works, he's so particular. He's almost Dexter-esque. I'm not saying it as a compliment because, you know, he's killing people… but it is intriguing to see how he goes about his process.

The analyst in me liked this, if I'm not thinking, I'll stop reading. This is really engaging, seeing what Allessandrah is seeing keeps me as a reader connecting the dots.
                              I'm hooked.

Great chapter ... just enough info for the inquisitive while giving us readers wanted more questions answered.

I'm sorry if this would be weird for me to ask, but did you change the plot for this story because I remember adding this to my reading list and reading it but it was a completely different plot.
