A Girl Like Her
"If you don't understand my silence how will you understand my words?" - Unknown.
Isla Victoria Madsen is invisible.
A person you would probably describe as socially awkward.
Although she seems to be the new, shy, straight-A student that has her life figured out, this is most definitely not the case. Isla has no faith in the world because after all why would you trust a world that took away the person you loved the most? She gets through high school by putting her head down and reading the labels that the people around her have been given; analysing them. But when Dante Henderson makes his return, her world takes a thrilling turn.
Dante Henderson was someone you were told not to mess with, a gang leader, a player, a criminal, a liar and above all dangerous. He didn't have a care in the world and took all he wanted, not caring about the broken hearts and chaos he left in his tracks. But this was before he mysteriously left for reasons that were not specified. When he makes his return a year later he has a moment of clarity and decides to see past the labels that hold him back and finds something he wasn't even looking for, realising that he wasn't the only one that felt invisible. Can he save the invisible girl and make her feel alive again or will she drown in her world of sorrow and broken promises?
Late night conversations,
A coffee shop,
and an undeniable bond.
Maybe these two polar opposites have more in common than they think?
