Sixteen at War
Growing up in poverty in the country of Colombia, Maria Sanchez had never been able to see what her mother wanted her to see. She wanted Maria to be someone big, bigger than what she ever was. Once Maria's mother moves them to the United States things take a turn for the worse and her mother dies leaving young Maria to learn everything on her own. She's now 16 walking the streets like she's 21. No role model, no guidance, just the mind of a young girl. While facing the streets and battling the traumatic events from her childhood, she'll be taken down by life, doing anything to stay afloat. Drugs, Money, Sex, and Violence are the only things she knows best. She's sixteen on the block.
