Kisses From Death | Book 1
"Whatever he does," I panted, leaning my back against the door as my usually obnoxiously loud voice dropped to a hushed whisper. "I hope he kisses me not."
Addison Pilediah had not expected her birthday to go exactly as it did. She expected her 21st birthday to pass with a loud party, followed by shots of vodka and handsome boys stringing after her, all in which celebrated with her close friends Bella Jones and Minnie Hoover. They were, after all, the only people she truly knew and understood as her real friends.
Three days before her birthday came, her long-term boyfriend, Lucius Duncan, had decided that Addison was not good enough for him, and had proceeded to break up with her in the most bombastic way -- by going out with her ex-best friend Porsha Ginevra.
So obviously, that was two more guests off the originally very long list.
When a gold flake encrusted invitation letter had arrived at the doorstep of Addison's humble estate mere minutes before dusk the day before her big day, she had a nagging feeling that all was not right with the world. Especially when her popularity and fake friends were lost the very second Lucius left her side. Something was playing with her, and as a curious girl, she had to find out what it was.
It only took one atrocious party, an obnoxious group of party-goers and one cynical spirit for Addison to realize that going to the party was perhaps not the best idea after all.
In fact, it would be a miracle if she could make it out alive after receiving kisses from Death himself.
