The Girl Next Door
Julia McLachlan is your typical run of the mill, doesn't give a crap girl. This junior's pretty, she's smart, and she's funny. But she isn't little Miss Popular, unless you count the fact people use her to get to her brother the second hottest guy in the school. But now, she isn't the little girl she used to be. In fact, there may not be a trace of that little girl anywhere in sight these days.
Jay Bryant is the most sought after guy in all of Marietta High and best friends with Julia's big brother. Oh but wait, there's more. He's her neighbor, the guy she has grown up with all these years, the guy who was friends with that little girl. Until things change when he leaves. Or better yet people change.
Now with Jay getting ready to leave the life of high school behind, things might just get a little more complicated than he hoped: for both of them. Julia can't help but think of Jay as an inconsiderate jerk of a player, and he can't help but think of her as hot. He is a guy after all. If it was up to her she'd gladly never see him again, but he is her neighbor and that's not about to change until come fall. If it was up to him he'd have her just like he has ever other girl. But together they have their secrets and desires that could destroy whatever peace they forge. And sometimes, you have to stop looking at her as that little girl she was and start looking at her as the woman she has become.
