"Mate," he growled again. "That's ridiculous! I'm not Australian," I stated, matter-of-factly, before frowning from my lack of ice cream. I stared longingly at my friends back, hoping he'd turn around, possibly save me from this guy and give me my ice cream, but he did better. "Rosalie, I got your ice cream," Aden shouted, rather loudly as well. I mean, come on I'm like 3 feet away, "let's bounce" He then spun around and saw my problem. "Marc? what are you doing here?" "Hold up, you know this guy?" I asked, disbelief evident in my voice. "Ya, he's a work friend." He said airily, then shot a questioning look toward his friend. "Mate," Marc said, as if that cleared up everything. It seemed to be the only word this guy knew. All it did was pull me further into confusion, but for Aden it seemed to have worked. He tensed, his eyes widened slightly, he looked at me worriedly, and I swear, if his quiffed brow hair could stand up any straighter it would. But under all that, there was crazed fear. He shot a strangled look between me and Marc, as if saying 'Her? She'll burn us alive!'
