In the summer of 1961, after the Beatles' new manager Brian Epstein arranged a couple of gigs over in Florida for the lads, nineteen-year-old Paul McCartney's fortune seemed to have run out abruptly. After his flight took him to the wrong state, his dad refused to listen to his desperate cries for help, and his bandmates expected him to make it to Florida in time for their show, Paul was left to walk the dreadfully long distance there, alone in a foreign country.

Stealing his car and speeding off to give Paul the ride he needed to Florida, the two developed a relationship and bond like no other as their incredibly reckless journey progressed.
